I often teach the “keyword technique” as the best strategy for IELTS reading (IELTS Simon also uses this). To do this, first find the keywords in the questions and then either find their match or opposite in the reading passage.
For example, I’ve highlighted the keywords in this question…
“Tourism has a social impact because it promotes recreation.” (Cambridge IELTS book 10, page 67)
What are the keywords in the following question?
Question (T/F/NG): Bus drivers do not give change so you must have the correct money for a ticket.
(From Cambridge IELTS 11 (General), test 3, question 10)
Bus drivers, give change, Ticket
I think correct money is also keyword
Keys words are, bus drivers, change, correct money and ticket.
I really interest
Bus drivers-not change-correct money- ticket
In my opinion, Must have are the keywords
Foreign visitor, community effect, encourage relaxation
I think the keywords will be- bus drivers,give change,must have,correct money&ticket.
