IELTS Band 7+ Vocabulary: Body and Mind Collocations

In this video lesson, I introduce a group of IELTS Band 7+ vocabulary words related to “body and mind”. I define each word and give two example sentences: one that would be common in writing or reading, and other that would be common in speaking. Finally, I introduce several collocations (words that are often used together) for each word.

    Studying abroad provides both benefits and drawbacks, so you need to bear in mind about that.
    You should have in your mind a detailed plan for your career before graduate.
    Governing body should put the benefits of citizens as a top priority.
    Body language can help you understand more about personality of a person.
    Children who grow up in big cities can have more chance to access to well-rounded education
    Many businessmen nowasdays think of contributing their effort to grow and develop the economical situation.
    The government is working hard in order to encourage growth in remote areas.
    The rapid population growth is also a serious problem currently. Government needs to work more to control it.
    I spent period of 4 months in Indonesia to conduct my graduation thesis.
    Parents have to look after their children more carefullly when they are in transitional period.

      Can you help me to correct those sentences if I make mistakes with that.
      Thanks so much and I really appreciate.
      I have trouble with doing task of filling labels of maps or diagrams in listening test. Can you make a video about that?

      Hi there! A few comments:
      Your first sentence would probably be “You need to bear these in mind”
      Second one should be “before you graduate”
      Third “the benefits of its citizens”

      Overall, your vocabulary usage seems correct, just small things here and there. Good work!

      And yes, I will try to make a listening video on that topic sometime 🙂
